LAW ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY

MACLEA offers two academies a year; the 1000 Hour Day Academy and the 1000 Hour Evening Academy.  Both academies provide students with the knowledge and training needed to obtain a POST License. The student will earn 46 college credits after the completion of the academy. MACLEA also offers a full range of Continuing Education Hours (CEH) for licensed Missouri peace officers at both the student and instructor levels.

Mineral Area College Law Enforcement Academy held its first training class in 1994. We take pride in preparing recruits mentally, physically, ethically, and with proficiency of skills to perform the police duties at a high level of competency. Throughout the program, students will participate in classroom instruction, intense physical training, and live training exercises.
