Service Description
This course is for anyone who is already a rifle instructor and needs a refresher course. This course will cover the legal and liability aspects of being a rifle instructor. It will also teach the student the breakdown of the rifle, as well as how to teach someone how to shoot a rifle. Students will go through drills, both dry and live fire. Students will have to be able to detect when someone is a problem shooter and explain what the problem is and how to fix it. Students will be placed into the role of the instructor and have to run courses of fire on the live range. Students will need to bring a hand-held flashlight as well to cover the aspects of using a light and also teach the use of flashlights. Students will also need to bring their firearms and minimum of two magazines for transitioning drills. This course will be held at Mineral Area College Law Enforcement Academy and Darrell S. Cole Memorial Shooting Range. EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR THE COURSE: Training Clothing. - Vest, Duty Belt, Rifle - Eye/Ear Protection - 3 magazines minimum - 250 rounds of Rifle
