Patrol Rifle Instructor 40 Hours​

September 28 - October 2, 2026 | 0800-1700 | $250

This course is for anyone interested in becoming a patrol rifle instructor. This course will cover the legal and liability aspects of being a patrol rifle instructor. It will also teach the student the rifle's breakdown and how to teach someone to shoot.

 

Students will go through drills, both dry and live fire. Students must be able to identify when someone is a problem-shooter and explain the problem and how to fix it. Students will be placed into the role of the instructor and have to run courses of fire on the live range.

Supplies needed:

Training Clothing

Vest, Duty Belt, Rifle

Eye/Ear Protection

3 magazines minimum

Hand-held flashlight

250 rounds of Rifle

Patrol Rifle Instructor Refresher 24 Hours

September 28-30, 2026 | 0800-1700 | $125

This course is for anyone who is already a rifle instructor and needs a refresher course. This course will cover the legal and liability aspects of being a patrol rifle instructor. It will also teach the student the rifle's breakdown and how to teach someone to shoot.

Students will go through drills, both dry and live fire. Students must be able to identify when someone is a problem-shooter and explain the problem and how to fix it. Students will be placed into the role of the instructor and have to run courses of fire on the live range.

Firearms Instructor 40 Hours

October 5-9, 2026 | 0800-1700 | $250

This course is for anyone interested in becoming a firearms instructor. This course will cover the legal and liability aspects of being a firearms instructor. It will also teach the student how to break down a pistol and a shotgun and how to teach someone to shoot.

 

Students will go through drills, both dry and live fire. Students must be able to identify when someone is a problem-shooter and explain the problem and how to fix it. Students will be placed into the role of the instructor and have to run courses of fire on the live range.

Training Clothing

Vest, Duty Belt, Rifle

Eye/Ear Protection

Firearms Instructor Refresher 24 Hours

October 5-7, 2026 | 0800-1700 | $125

This course is for anyone who is already a firearms instructor and needs a refresher course. This course will cover the legal and liability aspects of being a firearms instructor. It will also teach the student the breakdown of a pistol and a shotgun, and how to teach someone to shoot.

Basic Patrol Rifle 24 Hours

September 21-23, 2026 | 0800-1700 | $150 for non-contract students

This course is designed for law enforcement officers who have successfully completed basic firearms training and qualification in police handgun and shotgun use. 

The modern law enforcement patrol rifle has become an increasing standard item of police firearm equipment in the last decade. 

 

As a result, basic skills in the safe, accurate handling and use of a patrol rifle are rapidly becoming a necessity for today’s law enforcement officer.  This course provides the instruction and skill-building exercises a patrol officer needs to use the basic patrol rifle.  This course is specifically designed around the AR-15 model of the modern patrol rifle.

Course Requirements for successful completion: 

100% attendance

 

Successful completion of written exam with minimum score of 80%

 

Successful completion of Basic Rifle Qualification Course

No grievous safety violations or disciplinary issues during this course-  such violations constitute grounds for dismissal from this training course.
