Doug Ruess

Doug is the Division Chair for Criminal Justice and the Law Enforcement Academy.  He began his law enforcement career in 1992.  He has worked as a patrolman, sergeant, captain and is the former Chief of Police for Crystal City Police Department.  He is a  graduate of the FBI National Academy, Quantico, VA, graduate of Arkansas Leader, University of Arkansas Criminal Justice Institute.  He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Central Missouri and a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Lindenwood University.  He joined Mineral Area College in 2009.
