0800-1700 | Course Cost: $100 for non-contract students. Officers receive 16 Hours of CLEE Credit upon course completion. HELD AT THE MINERAL AREA COLLEGE LAW ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY NOTE: MACLEA has moved! We are still on the Mineral Area College campus, but are now located inside the Industry and Technology Center. SPACE IS LIMITED! PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL ONLY Equipment: -Training Clothing -Vest -Duty Belt This course is designed to prepare today’s patrol officers for traffic stops, felony stops, and incidents that involve vehicle close-quarter battle (VCQB) incidents. Students will be instructed on single and two-man traffic stops, and different techniques and methods. Students will learn felony stops using two-man, three-man, and four-man teams. Students will also learn vehicle close-quarter battle tactics in a deadly force situation. Students will conduct force-on-force exercises in this course as well. This course is mostly skill development but does involve some classroom teaching. This course is a must for anyone in patrol to attend. You will walk away with a brand-new idea on how to do things while on patrol. This course provides (2) hours of legal, (2) hours of interpersonal, and (12) hours of skill development through POST.
