Service Description

This is a 16-hour course offered to all law enforcement, fire/EMS personnel, communication specialists, and emergency management personnel to attend. This course is all classroom-based and is open to all ranks. The course is called a Leadership Course because it is geared toward decision-makers in an active shooter incident, but all first responders are welcome to attend. The course is designed to grow the student’s knowledge, concepts, and understanding of best practices regarding responding to an active shooter situation. This training contains classroom instruction and tabletop exercises that simulate a real-world active shooter incident. The goal of the course is to bring together all entities in the first-responder profession and instruct them on responding to an active shooter incident. During the tabletop exercise, students will use radios to work an active shooter event at schools, public social events, and businesses. This course will challenge anyone who attends to think outside the box in critical incidents and better prepare them to respond and deal with an active shooter situation. There is unlimited seating.
